BuildLab Academy follows a minimalist data protocol. We only collect the specific information required to verify your technical skills and issue professional certification.

1. Learning Material Delivery

Our curriculum is delivered via downloadable packages (Videos and Manuals). Once downloaded, your learning process is 100% offline and private. BuildLab Academy does not track your viewing habits or study times on your local device.

2. Certification & Testing Data

When you complete a stream and choose to take the Knowledge Test for certification, we collect:

Full Name: For the issuance of your Industry Skills Certificate.
Email Address: To deliver your digital certificate and test results.
Test Responses: To verify your mastery of the stream material.

3. Local Storage Usage

The Student Portal may use LocalStorage to temporarily save your progress during a test session so that you do not lose your place if your browser refreshes. This data is stored locally on your machine.

4. Data Protection (POPIA)

In accordance with South African law, your certification data is stored securely and is only used for the purpose of maintaining your academic record at BuildLab Academy. We do not share your contact details with third-party marketers.
